Star Trek: Picard is eight series in the Star Trek franchise. The show so far has been praised for its actor’s performances, writing, and direction. While the show’s last episode is about to be released on 24th March 2020, fans are asking questions about the second season.
Here is everything you need to know about it.
About the show
The show is set in the 24th century, 20 years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis (2002). It focuses on the repercussion of the destruction of the Lieutenant Commander Data, which occurred in the climax of Nemesis film. Additionally deals with the destruction of the planet Romulus, which we saw in 2009’s Star Trek.
It focuses primarily on Patrick Stewart’s character Picard. Picard is trying to save Commander Data’s biological daughter from a secret society of Romulans and preserve his legacy.
Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Release Date
Even before the show’s first episode was released, CBS All Access renewed the show for a second season, which will consist of 10 episodes. However, we don’t have an actual release date it. We expect it to drop in late 2021. The delay would most likely be there due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The cast of the show
Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard will most definitely be expected to return for another season as the show’s name has his character’s name in it. He will most likely be supported by Alison Pill as Dr. Agnes Jurati, Isa Briones as Dahj and Soji Asha, Evan Evagora as Elnor, Michelle Hurd as Rafaella “Raffi” Musiker, Santiago Cabrera as Cristóbal “Chris” Rios, Harry Treadaway as Narek.
Although we have no idea how things will end in the last episode, however, we expect a majority of the cast to return with new cast members joining the show for the second season.
