The Prime original psychological thriller is all set for Its second season. The series is originally based on a podcast that was created by Eli Horowitz and Micah Bloomberg. And is set to release on May 22, 2020.
The first season focused around the life of a past social worker after four years she left the Homecoming facility. But her life takes a consequential turn when she finds herself meddling between her past life and present life.
Further, the defense department of U. S. intrudes in her life for some interrogation related to the Homecoming Geist group, where she finds herself with no memory record of her past life.
No doubt, the series really is filled with thrill and mystery. But at the same time, it really does have an impact on us because it is surrounded by a lot of duplicity and perjury. Well, the second season will pick up an entirely new plot and also with new faces. And it will diverge from the podcast originals.
As per the announcement, Janelle Monáe and Chris Cooper will be the new faces for the series. Stephen James and Hong Chau will also join them from season 1 and reprise their role as Walter Cruz and Audrey Temple.
Moreover, there is a possibility of a new character called Jackieto make an entry, which will further lead to the mystery as pinned on the twitter account of the ‘Homecoming.’
The trailer was released on April 29, 2020, and it was tweeted by the official twitter account of the ‘Homecoming.’ The trailer opens up to the main protagonist Janelle Morae in the middle of a river on a boat surrounded by thick fauna.
Further, the main similarity between the two seasons is that the protagonist doesn’t remember her identity.
In the trailer, we also see a series of interrogations being held questioning her past life as she recovers flashes of her memory bit by bit. Which takes her closer to herself; in this investigation, we may also get closure about the Geist Group.
