On March 28th, 2018, it was announced by Netflix that a new American drama TV series would be premiered by the year 2020. This name of the TV series was later announced as Cursed. It would be an adaptation of the forthcoming illustration novel (of the same name) by the authors Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler. The show was confirmed for a 10 episode long season 1.
According to the creators of the show, the Plot has been described as follows. The story revolves around a teenage heroine named Nimue, who has a mysterious talent which makes her destined to become powerful, but a tragic, Lady of the Lake. After the death of her mother, she has her encounter with Arthur, who is also a young mercenary. Arthur was on a quest to deliver an ancient sword to Merlin, the Wizard. As the story unfolds, the female protagonist finds herself revolting against King Uther (who rules the lands they reside in) and the Red Paladins. Reading the synopsis itself, it seems fairly obvious to presume that the show will be fast-paced that will keep the viewers glued to their screens!
The full Cast has not yet been announced, but the actors for the main leads were announced by Netflix, and they have gone for some interesting choices. Katherine Langford, the star who played the role of Hannah Baker in the show 13 reasons why is set to play the role of Nimue. Alongside her, Devon Terrell will play the role of Arthur, and Gustaf Skarsgård will play as Merlin. The role of Weeping Monk would be played by Daniel Sharman.
The Release Date for the show has not been announced yet. However, the Producers gave a hint that the show will come out in 2020. The illustration novel on which it is based will release in October 2020, so we can expect the show to be released somewhere around that time.
