Log Horizon is a Japanese television series that originally came out in 2010 on a site called Shōsetsuka ni Narō, and later in 2011, it was seen to be published by Enterbrain. Other than a television series, this story also has four manga adaptations and one anime adaptation released on 5th October 2013.
The announcement of the release of its second season was made on the day of the last episode of the first season, and it finally aired on 4th October 2014. Both the seasons had 25 episodes each. The series is directed by Shinji Ishihara and written by Toshizō Nemoto.
The online multiplayer role play game becomes a massive success at a global level by its eleventh edition. Problems arise when they release the twelfth edition, Novasphere Pioneers, where all the thirty thousand Japanese players are transported to the game world where their characters become their real-life identities, and the new world becomes their real world.
Amongst the players, a socially awkward player named Shiroe, along with his friends, Naotsugu and Akatsuki plans to fight this change and the obstacles associated with their new-found world.
The news about the release of the third season has been wandering for a long time. It looks like the fan of the anime does have good news after a wait of six years. It is being said that the series will be renewed for another season and will be aired somewhere in October 2020, though no trailer has been launched yet. However, it seems like we already have a name for it: Log Horizon: Entaku Hokai (Log Horizon: Fall of the Spherical Desk).
Though season 3 might not have 25 episodes like the former seasons due to lack of story material, which was also the reason for the season’s delay, we are sure the story will do justice nonetheless.
