The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is an American period comedy-drama directed by Amy Sherman-Palladino and produced by Dhana Gilbert, Matthew Shapiro, Salvatore Carino, and Sheila Lawrence. Its first season came out on 17th March 2017 on Amazon Prime Video, followed by its second and third seasons on 5th December 2018 and 6th December 2019, respectively.
The story revolves around a woman Miriam Midge Maisel in the late 1950s who lives in Manhattan. She is a sharp, witty, energetic, and lively Jewish girl who always had a planned life: going to college, getting married, having kids, and serving the best Yom Kippur breakfasts in the entire town. Keeping in mind the era, this was the perfect life any field could imagine living. However, Maisel’s picture-perfect life goes to shambles when her husband leaves her for another woman. It is during this time that she is forced to re-evaluate her own life. In this process, she stumbles upon her hidden talent in the field of stand up comedy.
A lot of things were going on simultaneously during the third season. We’re going to summarize it for you, so you understand better in fewer words. And feel free to show your disbelief or any other emotion you feel while reading.
Maisel not only had a one night stand with Joel, but she also broke off her engagement with Benjamin. After this, Joel is seen to be Dating Mei, who also helps him find a suitable place for his nightclub and receiving his liquor rights.
Abe faces financial consequences due to her leaving Colombia University and Bell Labs.
Susie succeeds in getting through the producers and bags a Broadway theatre with a male co-star. Meanwhile, Joel visits Maisel in Las Vegas After their divorce gets finalized. They end up spending the night together (again, yes) and wake up to find that they have been remarried.
Though these mere words do no justice to what all actually happened in the series, something is better than nothing. Watch the third season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel of you haven’t already!
