The fans of Sonic the Hedgehog must be delighted to know that the production house is coming up with a sequel as it was confirmed by Paramount Pictures and Sega Sammy on May 28, 2020!!

The upcoming release would be directed by Jeff Fowler. Pat Casey, who debuted with the first part of the movie and Josh Miller, would be the writers of the script.

Fowler said the sequel might have some additional characters from the games. Although there has not been any more official information, fans have already started counting days for the same.

Sonic the Hedgehog was released in February 2019, which was based on a Japanese video game Sonic the Hedgehog. This video game happened to challenge the Super Mario Brother’s video game dominance in 1991.

Plot expectations:

Sonic the Hedgehog is about Hedgehog, who runs as fast as the wind who finds a beautiful life for himself on Earth.

The first movie ended with Sonic defeating Dr. Robotic. In the sequel, Dr. Robotic might be back to defeat Sonic, and this time may be on his own.

It is rumored that the sequel of Sonic the Hedgehog would pick it up from where it had left, the mid-credit scene of Sonic the Hedgehog showed a ring portal being opened up, from which emerges a young, orange fox with two tails.

This is undoubtedly Miles ‘Tails’ Prowler, Sonic’s best friend and sidekick. There is also a possibility of alternative Sonics, like Silver the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog, turning up in the sequel movie.

Ben Schwartz has given voice to Sonic, and the facial motions of the CGI Sonic are based on that of Ben Schwartz himself.

Jim Carrey would say he heard as Dr. Robotnik, the mad scientist, James Marsden as Thomas Michael, Tika Sumpter as Maddie Wachowski, Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone, Natasha Rothwell as Rachael, Melody Nosipho Niemann as Jojo, Adam Pally as Wade Whipple, Neal McDonough as the soldier who doesn’t like Robotnik – Major Bennington, Tom Butler aa Commander Walter and Frank C Turner as Crazy Curl
