There is a lot of hype-worthy buzz surrounding David Cronenberg’s Crimes of the Future, and its probably got a few people wondering if they can watch the intriguing sci-fi feature on Netflix. Keep reading to find out that and more!

Filmmaker David Cronenberg has been known to put out some truly thought-provoking films like A History of Violence and Eastern Promises. But now, he has returned to the realm of science fiction, a genre the auteur hasn’t messed with since 1999’s eXistenZ.

The remarkable film takes place in an unspecified future where pollution has caused humans to adapt to a synthetic environment, and mutations, as well as transformations, are the norm. In the mind-bending narrative, celebrity performance artist Saul Tenser publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in a wild performance.

Starring in this unnerving masterpiece is an impressive lineup of talent which includes Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux, and Kristen Stewart. The film has received a solid score on Rotten Tomatoes and received a six-minute standing ovation at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, where it competed for the coveted Palme d’Or honor.

Is Crimes of the Future available on Netflix?

There is no doubt that Cronenberg’s bizarre motion picture has to be a high priority for a lot of viewers, and it makes sense why people would want to know if it’s on the streamer.
