She’s done countless projects in just about every field over the years and we cannot wait to see the intimate behind-the-scenes look in Halftime.

Best Jennifer Lopez movies and shows (and where to stream them)

For now, let’s look at some of these movies and shows to see what which ones are worth revisiting before Halftime premieres. Some are available on Netflix while the rest are streaming on other platforms we’ve listed below!

Anaconda (1997)

This cult classic adventure horror film follows a documentary crew touring the Amazon rainforest, only for them to face-off against a giant, legendary anaconda. It’s a silly movie perfect for those who love creature features and similar movies like Lake Placid.

Anaconda went on to birth a franchise with multiple movies (mostly made-for-TV or straight-to-DVD). Besides Lopez, Anaconda also stars Owen Wilson, Ice Cube, Jon Voight, Eric Stoltz and Jonathan Hyde.

Streaming on Netflix.

Halftime (2022)

This original documentary film directed by Amanda Micheli is the newest Jennifer Lopez feature on this list as it is her highly-anticipated new documentary. This intimate doc will follow J.Lo’s story and her meteoric career rise with a particular focus on her performance at the Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show. Halftime premiered recently at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival and will arrive on Netflix next week.

Streaming on Netflix June 14.

Marry Me (2022)

Owen Wilson and Jennifer Lopez reunite for this sweet rom-com about a popstar who decides to marry a math teacher after noticing him holding up a “marry me” sign at one of her concerts right after learning her fiancé is having an affair. The movie received great reviews from critics and fans alike, who found Wilson and Lopez’s chemistry endearing.

Streaming on Peacock Premium.

Hustlers (2019)

This crime comedy-drama film is based off of a 2015 New Yorker article about a group of New York City strippers who start to con and steal money from CEOs and stock traders who visit their club. Besides J.Lo, the movie also stars Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo and Cardi B.

Streaming on Hulu.

The Fosters (2013-2018)

Jennifer did not star in The Fosters, but she did serve as an executive producer throughout the show’s run and it’s a fantastic series. It was even popular enough to get a spin-off called Good Trouble which is still going on Freeform. The series follows Stef and her life partner Lena as they build a close-knit family of foster kids.

Streaming on Hulu and Prime Video.

Shades of Blue (2016-2018)

Running for three seasons, Shades of Blue was a popular crime drama series airing on NBC based on the novel Shades of Blue: 30 Years of (Un)ethical Policing by Michael Rudolph. Lopez starred as Harlee Santos, a single mother of a 16-year-old daughter and a corrupt detective working for the street crimes squad in NYPD who is forced to work for the FBI’s anti-corruption task force as an informant.

Streaming on Amazon Freevee.

Monster-in-Law (2005)

You can’t really go wrong with a movie that has Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda going head-to-head. This hilarious romantic-comedy film features Lopez as Charlotte, who falls head over heels for Dr. Kevin Fields (Michael Vartan). But as things become more serious between them, Charlotte realizes she’s going to have to contend with Kevin’s mom Viola (Fonda), who is not happy with this new potential daughter-in-law. Wanda Sykes, Monet Mazur and Elaine Stritch also star.
