Tim Burton’s Wednesday series, a derivation of the classic spooky tales of The Addams Family, is coming to Netflix in 2022, but as for whether the series is coming to the streamer in June? It’s a no, no. Tim Burton’s Wednesday is not coming to Netflix in June 2022.
But given that Netflix revealed the first teaser for the upcoming eight-episode series, starring Jenna Ortega, just this Monday (June 6), to kick off the first day of Geeked Week 2022, we’re not too surprised to find it absent from the streamer’s list of June releases.
Netflix revealed the following description for the spooky series…
“The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting 16-year-old Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Season One will follow Wednesday as she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”
So when can we expect the unmissable coming of age series to land on Netflix? Find out the latest release date updates, for the Tim Burton-Addams Family adaptation following our favorite Wednesday’s child of woe, below.
When is Tim Burton’s Wednesday coming to Netflix?
While a 2022 release date has been confirmed by Netflix, an exact release date has yet to be unveiled by the streamer. After all, it’s still early days! However, it’s likely that we’ve still got some waiting to do before the series is available to watch. Our best guess is that the series will land on Netflix on a Wednesday sometime in October, given it’s the spookiest time of year and Wed. because … well, you get it? It just makes sense.
While there’s not much known about the plot, a full cast list has now also been listed by IMDb, revealing Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams and Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams.
