Jerry Seinfeld is teaming up with Netflix to produce a new comedy film titled Unfrosted. If this title seems familiar to you, it’s probably because you’re thinking about Seinfeld’s Pop-Tart stand-up bit. Well, he’s making a movie about it, and here’s everything we know about the upcoming Netflix movie.
Seinfeld will direct, produce and star in Unfrosted. He co-wrote the script with Barry Marder and Spike Feresten, whom he worked with on the 2007 kid animated film Bee Movie.
Not much is known about Unfrosted since it’s still in pre-production, but we will still share everything there is to know about the comedy film below. Unfrosted release updates
As mentioned above, the film is currently in pre-production, so there isn’t a release date yet. However, we could see the movie arrive on Netflix in fall 2022. This is our best prediction for now. We’ll need a little more information to determine when exactly the film could land on Netflix.
Is Unfrosted filming?
Not yet. According to What’s on Netflix, principal photography starts on May 25 and runs to July 1. So it’s a pretty short shoot. Since production isn’t going to take long, this makes us believe that the film will be available for viewing sooner than we think. We couldn’t see post-production taking that long for a movie like this, either. So we will most likely see Unfrosted on Netflix by the end of the year.
