What’s a better way to celebrate dad on Father’s Day than to queue up some of your favorite Netflix shows and spend the day marathoning your watch list?
Whether you’re looking for a good show to watch with your family and friends for Father’s Day or you need a little escapism to take your mind off the holiday, Netflix has plenty of options. There are so many lovable dads on Netflix worth celebrating.
From a pair of solid throwbacks that will make you laugh and tug on your heartstrings to some of the biggest shows currently on Netflix, Sunday, June 19 doesn’t have to be boring.
Father’s Day Netflix shows
Here are the best shows to watch on Netflix with your dad or father figure, but they’re also the best shows to watch if you just need some fatherly energy on Father’s Day. Let’s begin with one of the best new Netflix shows of 2022, The Lincoln Lawyer.
The Lincoln Lawyer
Based on the book series and character created by Michael Connelly, the Netflix original series The Lincoln Lawyer premiered in May 2022 and has been one of the most successful shows of the year. Mickey Haller, played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, returns to work as a lawyer in his Lincoln, balancing fatherhood and two ex-wives along the way. It’s a thrilling and mysterious watch that will have you guessing to the final seconds, and it’ll be back for season 2.

Manifest
How could you celebrate Father’s Day without spending it one of the best TV dads of all time? We caught up with Josh Dallas, who plays Manifest’s Ben Stone, about his journey through fatherhood on screen and in real life. His on-screen fatherhood journey continues with Manifest season 4, landing later this year on Netflix, so make sure to get caught up now.
One on One
Ready for some nostalgia? Dads out there would probably rather rewatch old episodes of Seinfeld or Star Trek, but Netflix has a number of 2000s sitcoms that make for the perfect weekend binge-watch for the family. One on One centers on a former athlete and single father who becomes a full-time dad when his teenage daughter moves in with him. It’s a hilarious blast from the past and all five seasons are available to watch on Netflix.

Friday Night Lights
Although we love Ben Stone and believe Josh Dallas has played two of the best TV dads of all time, Friday Night Lights boasts one of the hands-down greatest dads and father figures in television history. In the beloved series, Emmy winner Kyle Chandler plays Coach Eric Taylor, a devoted father and high school football coach. Relive all the best Coach Taylor moments on Netflix!
Schitt’s Creek
If there’s one show that’s become universally adored, it’s Schitt’s Creek. The comedy series rose (see what we did there?) in popularity after streaming on Netflix years ago, and the world was watching this family find their footing together. After six seasons, the Rose family got back on their feet, but that doesn’t make watching them get there any less fun. Don’t miss your chance to binge-watch before Schitt’s Creek leaves Netflix in October 2022.
