Netflix’s newest release, Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area, is a remake of the beloved 2017 original series. As the title suggests, this title takes place in Korea, which means there are all-new stakes, all-new strategies, and, of course, all-new people. And the cast and characters aren’t even the best part of this series, as the plot is a force that you absolutely must reckon with, too.

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area synopsis

A mysterious man, known as “Professor,” huddles up a band of misfits to pull off the greatest heist of all time. This heist consists of the group heading into Korea’s Joint Economic Area to steal four trillion won and make it out with their identities and lives intact. Naturally, a feat this large requires a great deal of sacrifice, attention to detail, and teamwork. But as with any team project, there’s always a time when something just doesn’t go as planned.

What obstacles await these heisters? What will they do when the going gets tough? Rise to the occasion, or fall into deep despair? Our burning questions will be answered soon enough.

Playing the role of our Professor is When My Love Blooms actor Yoo Ji-tae. Alongside him are Kim Yunjin as Raquel, Park Hae-soo as Berlin, Jun Jong-seo as Tokyo, Kim Ji-hun as Denver, Yoon-ju Jang as Nairobi, Hyun-Woo Lee as Rio, Ji-Hoon Kim as Helsinki, Won-jong Lee as Moscow, and Kyu-Ho Lee as Moscow.

Ryu Yong-jae, Kim Hwan-chae, Choe Sung-jun, and Traffickers director Kim Hong-sun serve as the creators of this series.

In addition to the cast, it’s important to know that Money Heist: Korea currently has six episodes, each over an hour in duration. Also, the series has an age rating of TV-MA, so be sure to only watch these episodes with mature audiences.
