Tsurune is a Japanese light novel series written by Kotoko Ayano that recounts the narrative of Minato Narumiya. This young boy abandons his love for Kyuudo, a modern Japanese martial art centered on archery, when an incident occurs during his last tournament in middle school.
However, Minato is pulled back to the sport after entering high school. He meets a mystery archer named Masaki Takigawa at a secret archery range in the woods. Minato joins the Kazemai High School Kyuudo Club, together with childhood friends Seiya Takehaya and Ryouhei Yamanouchi and new partners Kaito Onogi and Nanao Kisaragi, to compete in the prefectural Kyuudo tournament, influenced by Masaki’s masterful form.
Kyoto Animation produced an anime adaptation of the light novel series, which aired 13 episodes between October 22, 2018, and January 21, 2019. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the anime television series.
