The first installment of the South Korean spin-off/continuation of the extremely popular Netflix series Money Heist was an enthralling affair that offered up an intriguing narrative similar to its predecessor while making sure to stand on its own as something different at the same time. The six entries from season 1 were nothing short of exhilarating and definitely kept viewers all over on the edge of their seats until the credits rolled.
So far, it seems fans are enjoying the new series, with Money Heist: Korea garnering an impressive score on Rotten Tomatoes and outlets like Decider giving significant praise to the performances of its talented cast, which includes Yoo Ji-tae, Jeon Jong-seo, and Yunjin Kim. Is Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area season 2 coming to Netflix?
While it isn’t known for sure if there will be a second season of the South Korean spin-off/continuation series, there will most assuredly be more episodes on the way. Netflix originally ordered 12 entries from Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area and only released six of them on June 24, 2022.
The original Money Heist did something similar releasing season 1 in two parts, with season 2 consisting of parts three and four. Part 5, aka season 3, was also split in two but designated as the same chapter.
So, it would seem that Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area could very well be doing the same exact thing and getting ready to put out its next six episodes in the second half of season one. Whether it’s done this way or labeled as season 2, one thing that is for sure is that there are more entries headed to Netflix for subscribers to enjoy.
Is Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area canceled?
It would absolutely appear that Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area is not canceled by any means. As previously mentioned, Netflix ordered 12 episodes of the spin-off/continuation, and there is still half of that order yet to make it to the streamer. The show is still very much alive and well, with more to come!
Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area season 2 release predictions
It’s very hard to determine at this point when season 2 of Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area will arrive on Netflix. But looking at its predecessor’s timetable of release could allow for some solid speculations.
The first two parts of the original Money Heist came out in different parts of 2017, with the second season’s first part arriving in July 2019 with the follow-up in April 2020. The final set of entries came in in September and December of 2021.
With this in mind, more episodes could be available on the streamer this year at some point or early next year. In addition, the second season’s first part could show up sometime in 2023 or 2024, but it’s still rather a bit too early to really make any concrete assessments. This all is just speculation for now.
