Did you know that the original 1997 sci-fi comedy film Men in Black starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones released almost exactly 25 years ago? The hit movie launched a franchise that spans three follow-up films, including Men in Black II, Men in Black 3 and Men in Black: International.
The first movie opened in theaters on July 2, 1997, and here we are, 25 years later. That’s an impressive anniversary for a franchise that is still pretty popular. I would be very surprised if we didn’t eventually see another movie, television show or spin-off of some kind.
In honor of this special 25th anniversary, many fans might be eager to revisit the franchise. It would be the perfect watch for the upcoming Fourth of July weekend. But are these movies available to watch on Netflix?
Are the Men in Black movies on Netflix?
Unfortunately, none of the movies in the franchise are currently streaming on Netflix. However, there are several movies about aliens and alien invasions on the streaming service right now, such as War of the Worlds, Extinction, Skylines, Rim of the World and Beyond Skyline.
Netflix also has a few Will Smith movies on the platform, such as Bright and Collateral Beauty. Bright is probably the best option for those looking for something similar to Men in Black that also stars Smith.
Tommy Lee Jones fans have less options, as his only movies on the platform right now are U.S. Marshals and the animated movie Alphas and Omegas.
Where to watch the Men in Black movies
Surprisingly, none of the Men in Black movies are streaming except for International starring Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, which is available to watch with a Starz subscription. Otherwise, you’ll need to rent or purchase the movies from a digital retailer like Apple TV, Amazon, Vudu, YouTube or Google Play.
