What’s One Piece Film: Gold?

One Piece Film: Gold is the 13th in the One Piece Film series and originally came out on July 23, 2016. One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda was the executive producer, and Hiroyaki Miyamoto directed it.

Film: Gold has the Straw Hats’ journey to Gran Tesoro, an entertainment city that welcomes everyone and is recognized by the World Government. However, the fun and games end quickly for the Straw Hats, and Zoro is captured!

Film: Gold is the follow-up to the TV special One Piece: Heart of Gold that aired on July 16, 2016. Not only does Heart of Gold explain how the Straw Hats found out about Gran Tesoro, but the villains in the Gold series appear in both of them.

You don’t have to watch Heart of Gold to understand the movie, but it has dinosaurs and a giant angler fish. What’s not to love?

What is Fathom Events?

Fathom Events is the 11th largest content distributer to movie theaters in North America. Fathom’s network has over 1,100 participating locations, with nearly 2,000 screens in 184 DMAs.

Fathom has begun to expand its reach to more than 45 countries and over 2,100 screens worldwide. It’s also a recognized leader in the entertainment industry, featuring a wide variety of content that will please anyone.

Audiences can look forward to exclusive showings and bonus content like live-streamed Q&As, panel discussions, and behind-the-scenes, never before seen footage. And expert insights into films, special messages from the film cast, and more!

Fun fact: Film Gold and Film Red are the only two One Piece movies named after colors, which are part of Gol D. Roger and Luffy’s themes. Could the next One Piece movie be called Blue?

Let us know if you plan on watching One Piece Film: Gold in theaters and what you think about the movie. Also, was the interview worth the ticket price, and what’s your favorite One Piece film?
