Netflix is adding 21 new movies and shows this week

A new week is here and that means Netflix is adding a bunch of new movies and shows to their lineup. This includes a brand new adaptation of a Jane Austen novel, a new horror series, and a new animated kids series.

First up, Persuasion! This is the last book Jane Austen completed and was published six months after her death. It tells the story of Anne Elliot, a woman who was convinced to give up love at a young age. Now, eight years later, she’s still alone, but that love a.k.a. Captain Frederick Wentworth is back in her life. She still lives with her haughty family, but she’s much more able to make decisions on her own. But is he still interested?

The adaptation hits Netflix on Friday, July 15 and stars Dakota Johnson, Cosom Jarvis, Henry Golding, Richard E. Grant, Nikki Amuka-Bird, and Mia McKenna Bruce.

But that’s easier said than done when she also has to fight against the Infected in order to survive long enough to get justice.
