A One Piece film: Red X Uniqlo UT clothing collection has been announced the upcoming One Piece moive.
One Piece Film: Red is an upcoming Japanese anime fantasy action-adventure film directed by Goro Taniguchi and produced by Toei Animation. It is the 15th feature film of the One Piece film series. The film’s story centers on a new female character named Uta, who is a popular idol and also the daughter of legendary pirate Shanks.
Its world premiere will be in Nippon Budokan, Tokyo on July 22, 2022. The movie is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga. On August 6, 2022, the movie will be released in theaters in Japan Nationwide.
What are the designs for the One Piece-inspired collection?
The T-shirt color 09 Black showcases an action shot of Monkey D. Luffy doing his signature pistol punch. Luffy is also sporting a brand-new outfit that was designed for him for the One Piece film: Red. I think Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa from Pirates of the Caribbean would approve of the size and grandeur of Luffy’s awesome pirate hat!
The T-shirt color 17 Red features outline illustrations and a name list of the notorious Red-Haired Pirates in white. On the front of the T-shirt are the words: Red-Haired Pirates, as well as Shanks’ skull-and-cross bones flag design.
The poster T-shirt color 69 Navy, features the iconic moment Shanks hands his straw hat to Luffy.
The T-shirt color 00 White, features a lineup of the main characters (The Straw Hats) in the upcoming movie with the subtext, “I’m gonna be…King of the Pirates!!”
The One Piece Film: Red X Uniqlo UT collection has launched at UNIQLO Japan website today (July 12, 2022) and will be released globally soon. When One Piece Film: Red is released in America, that’s when you’re going to want to check the US Uniqlo website for the T-shirts!
Does the idol Uta appear on any of the T-shirts?
Although, the new original character, Uta, appears in the promotional images for this new collection inspired by the upcoming One Piece film: Red fans have already noted that Uta doesn’t appear on any of the T-shirts and are understandably disappointed. Hopefully, Uniqlo will listen to its customers and design a T-shirt, which centers on Uta.
Huge Sanji fan, @loopsanjie/Sanjiloops shared an illustration on Twitter of Sanji sporting one of the shirts from the new collection. Somehow, Sanji always manages to look extremely stylish in the world of One Piece! I think One Piece fans wouldn’t mind if there was a T-shirt, which centered on Sanji either. The illustration was shared on July 11, 2022, and already has more than 1,000 likes!
Another One Piece fan @djenoloid was able to get his hands on some more promotional images, which feature the Straw Hats, sporting T-shirts from the One Piece film: Red X Uniqlo UT collection!
