Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp has finally spoken out after Doja Cat called him out on TikTok live for publicly sharing a private conversation between the two of them regarding Doja’s crush on Joseph Quinn. If you’re not aware of all the drama between Noah Schnapp and the “Say So” singer, we’ve broken it down for you right below!
It all started on Wednesday, July 6. Noah had posted a now-deleted Tiktok video of screenshots of a conversation between him and Doja Cat on Instagram. The conversation revolved around Doja Cat basically asking Noah to set her up with his co-star, Joseph Quinn.
Many people either thought Doja Cat was in on it and didn’t mind that Noah had leaked their conversation or that she simply wouldn’t care. But the singer didn’t find what Noah did funny at all and, in fact, expressed how she felt on TikTok live on July 7.
During the TikTok live, Doja starts off saying that Noah is young and that maybe he wasn’t aware of what he was doing, but then she later backtracks and calls what he did “wack” and “borderline snake sh*t.” Of course, this sent the internet into a frenzy with everyone waiting for Noah to respond. Now, almost a week after Doja’s TikTok live, the Will actor has finally responded. And we can’t forget to mention how both Noah and Doja have seen a change in their follower counts on social media since the debacle began.
Doja Cat loses 200k followers on Instagram after Noah Schnapp drama
After the Grammy award-winning artist blasted Noah on TikTok live, her comments didn’t sit well with many people. According to Los Angeles Times, Doja lost about 200k followers on Instagram after calling out the Stranger Things star. She reportedly had 24.34 million followers, but that number dropped to 24.14 million after the TikTok live. However, her TikTok following has not been affected and remains at 25.5 million followers.
Noah, on the other hand, has seen a significant increase in his follower counts on Instagram and TikTok since the day Doja went live on TikTok. Initially, he had 24.25 million followers on Instagram, but that number jumped to 25.7 million. He gained nearly 1 million followers on Instagram. But his TikTok is where he has seen the most significant increase in followers. He reportedly had 24.4 million followers, but that number jumped by nearly 3 million to 27.3 million.
Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp responds to Doja Cat
On July 13, Noah Schnapp posted a funny TikTok video of himself doing math with Doja Cat’s song “Kiss Me More” playing in the background. However, it’s the comment section that you need to pay attention to.
Noah decided to leave a comment in his comment section and pin it to the top of the TikTok video. He doesn’t directly address Doja’s comments from her TikTok live, but he does mention where he and Doja stands. His comment reads, “Guys everything is all good I apologized and I still follow her and love her music no hard feelings.”
As of July 14, Doja hasn’t responded back to Noah’s TikTok. Honestly, it’s probably best that she doesn’t and just leave things as they are. We’re just happy that they’ve made up.
You can catch Noah Schnapp in Stranger Things season 4 on Netflix. Also, make sure to check out Doja Cat’s latest single, “Vegas” from the Elvis soundtrack!
