Trailer for the upcoming anime Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villianess Liselotte.

In the trailer we get a first look at our villainess/heroine – the tsundere Lady Liselotte, and her different expressions from extremely angry (tsundere) to cutely bashful (dere).

What is the plot of Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte?

The story begins when Crown Prince Sieg hears the Voices of the Gods out of the blue. The “gods” inform him that his evil fiancée, Liselotte, is actually a “tsun de rais” and that her sharp tongue is just a way of covering up her embarrassment.

Liselotte’s adorable hidden side quickly charms the Prince. Unfortunately, the “gods” also inform him that his fiancée is destined to meet her demise.

Little does Sieg know, but the “heavenly beings” he’s been conversing with are actually two Japanese high school students that have been bestowing this knowledge to him via their game commentary. Will Sieg be able to use their “divine prophecy” to save his cute tsundere betrothed and avoid a so-called “Bad End”?

Liselotte has the tendency to put on a grumpy face even when she’s not that upset. It’s a habit, which she can’t seem to break no matter how hard she tries.

Liselotte bemoans the fact she can’t just be honest with herself. What’s a tsundere to do? T he more she gets embarrassed by something the angrier she acts. However, if only Sieg would make his romantic overtures in a private place she’d be able to gladly accept them.

As high school student, Endo-kun began to passionately react to the antics of Lady Liselotte as a beautiful villainess of an otome game called Majikoi (Magical in Love). He and his friend Kobayashi-san provided a painstaking breakdown of her tsundere behavior – the unexpected happened.

Suddenly, in-game character, Prince Sieg, who is none other than Liselotte’s fiancé, could hear their voices! This is when things get interesting.

It’s easy to figure out why Liselotte has a name that sounds like “Lies a Lot”!

Comments by Tomori Kusunoki (plays Lieselotte) about anime

Just from reading the title I knew that this anime would be breaking the fourth wall. When I read the story I realized how cute Liselotte really is despite her outward appearance and actions. The live commentary on the events going on within the game is really interesting. I really like the characters Endo and Kobayashi and how they become emotionally involved in the lives of the characters within the game. Liselotte is oftentimes misunderstood, but it’s really cute how her expression changes when the truth of how she’s really feeling is revealed. The way she ends up acting scary one minute, very cute and then elegant makes everyone around her fall for her.

Comments by Yuichi Nakamura (plays Sieg) about anime

This kind of role is new for me, but I had a lot of fun bringing Sieg to life. The story is different from what I normally read, but once you start you can’t stop reading it. It is a very addictive story. The prince I play not only has a cool, sophisticated side, but also a cute side, so I found that balance difficult to maintain. But as I brought Sieg to life I feel like I grew as a voice actor.

Comments by Kaito Ishikawa (plays Aoto Endo) about anime

As soon as I landed the role I immediately read the entire story. Its unique plot surprised me and although the theme of “villainess” is very popular right now it’s still very different due to the idea of having a “live commentary”, which affects the characters within the game. I want to portray Endo seriously, so that people can tell that he cares not only about the in-game world, but also about the people in his world.

Comments by Kana Hanazawa (plays Shihono Kobayashi) about anime

As soon as I read the title I knew I would enjoy the story, and I did! I can relate to Kobayashi being an “otome game otaku” or “fangirl” and getting very excited about certain things. I want to bring that passion to my performance. There are some innocent scenes I get to play with Endo and I want to properly express the emotional gap within her.

Kana Hanazawa commented at Natalie.mu

Comments by Miyu Tomita (plays Fine) about anime

I found the premise very interesting about how we’re able to see two different perspectives – Endo and Kobayashi who live in the real world and then we switch to the perspectives of Sieg and Liselotte in the in-game world. I especially enjoyed the comedic elements. As soon as I saw Fine’s character design I wondered if it was alright that I get to play such a cute girl. She’s also strangely strong, so you can look forward to something unexpected in her character.

Comments by Suzu Enoshima (creator) about anime

Now that the staff and cast are all gathered together I’m sure this anime will be the best it can be! I’m looking forward to its completion and getting to share it with my fans. I hope people will also be interested in reading the original light novels and manga adaptation.

Suzu Enoshima commented at Natalie.mu

Comments by Eihi (illustrator) about anime

I just want to thank the readers of the original light novels and the illustrated novels. It’s thanks to their support that this anime was made possible. I’m looking forward to the moment when the cast and staff can sit back and watch the fruits of their labor. I can’t wait to see Liselotte moving around on screen!

Eihi commented at Natalie.mu

Comments by Rumiwo Sakaki (mangaka) about anime

I was surprised to discover that the manga I’m involved with is being turned into an anime and am filled with feelings of gratitude towards the readers. I just want to thank the fans of the franchise that made this possible. We have a wonderful staff and cast, and we’re looking forward to presenting a great anime.
