The wait for a new season of Virgin River is almost up! We’re quickly closing in on the release of Virgin River season 4 on Wednesday, July 20 with what promises to be quite an eventful season.
Season 3 left us with a lot to process including the burning question regarding who the father of Mel’s baby would turn out to be and whether Mel would accept Jack’s proposal. After stewing over these questions and more over the last year, we’re finally about to get some answers in what should be another must-see season.
There’s a lot of ground for the new season to cover. Fortunately, the writers have even more time than normal to address the series’ biggest storylines this season!
Virgin River season 4 episode count
Although most seasons of Virgin River only consist of 10 episodes, Netflix has decided to make season 4 the show’s biggest season yet with an expanded season. That’s right, season 4 is about to become the show’s longest season to date.
Instead of the standard ten episodes we’ve grown accustomed to for Virgin River, season 4 is going to consist of 12 episodes in total. That’s two more episodes than we’re used to getting in a season and we can only imagine how the writers will use those additional episodes to help with this season’s key storylines.
While there are two more episodes to enjoy this season, we will note that the episodes still remain roughly 45 minutes in length each — a runtime that has worked nicely for the show in past seasons.
Virgin River season 4 arrives on Netflix on Wednesday, July 20!
