Did Addison Rae audition to be in Stranger Things season 5? (rumors explained)

There’s a rumor going around that He’s All That‘s Addison Rae auditioned for a role in Stranger Things season 5. Is there some truth to this rumor, or is it just speculation? We got to the bottom of this rumor down below!

Now that most people have watched the complete fourth season of Stranger Things, they’ve been looking for any new information about the fifth and final season. Fortunately, the Duffer Brothers have been somewhat forthcoming with information about the upcoming season. In addition, some of the Stranger Things cast members have even talked about what they’d like to see happen for their characters and the story in the fifth season.

Of course, when there’s talk about Stranger Things season 5, rumors will start swirling. Recently, there was a rumor going around that Euphoria‘s Zendaya Coleman had joined the sci-fi series for its final season, but there was no evidence to back the rumor up. It was just a fan of hers claiming that she would be in the fifth season.

Now, some people are claiming that TikTok star Addison Rae auditioned for Stranger Things season 5. Read on because we explained the rumor and revealed if it’s true or not.

Did Addison Rae audition for Stranger Things season 5?

At the time of writing, there is no proof that Addison Rae auditioned for the fifth season. According to Popbuzz, the rumor started on Twitter by fans. There are multiple tweets of fans alleging that Addison Rae had auditioned for a role in the upcoming season. There’s even a tweet by a fan claiming that Addison Rae auditioned and was rejected. However, the Duffer Brothers, Netflix, nor Addison Rae have come out and spoken about her auditioning. So, we’re going to have to believe that this pure speculation.

It’s unclear how fans have come up with this rumor, but some people would say it stems from Addison Rae’s deal with Netflix that she signed in September 2021. However, she signed a multipicture film deal with the streamer, and Stranger Things is a series. So her Netflix deal should have nothing to do with her auditioning for the show.

This isn’t the first Addison Rae and Stranger Things rumor. When the He’s All That star signed her multi-movie deal with Netflix in 2021, people started claiming that she was going to be in Stranger Things season 4. But just like the Zendaya rumor, it was just a fan claiming that she was going to be in the fourth season without any concrete evidence to back it up. And if you’ve watched Stranger Things season 4, you’d know that Addison Rae does not make an appearance.
