Netflix fans, do you miss Riverdale? I don’t even have to ask, do I? There’s just something about that crazy town and all its shenanigans that keeps us hooked on the show. Well, the good news is that the sixth season is coming to the U.S. in August!
I know you eager viewers have been waiting for a while to see new episodes. The streaming giant added Riverdale season 5 in October 2021. The sixth season premiered on the show’s parent network, The CW, in November 2021. And while those with cable have been able to enjoy weekly releases, Netflix fans haven’t been so lucky.
The popular CW series stars KJ Apa as Archie, Lili Reinhart as Betty, Cole Sprouse as Jughead, Camila Mendes as Veronica, and Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl. Are you ready to see your favorite characters back on your screens? Well don’t you worry, the wait is almost over!
Riverdale season 6 Netflix release date
Riverdale season 6 will drop on Netflix Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022! The streamer is adding the 22-episode season to its catalog just a week after the finale airs on The CW on July 31.
The network has a deal with Netflix that new seasons of their shows can stream eight days after their finales. I guess The CW was forgiving of the extra day! Hey, the sooner we get those episodes, the happier we are.
The sixth season has taken viewers on one crazy ride that includes superpowers, witches (the crossover with Netflix original Chilling Adventures of Sabrina finally happens!), time travel, and so much more. I mean with everything happening, I don’t know what will be left for them to do in the show’s seventh and final season. We’ll have to wait and see!
Are you excited Riverdale season 6 is coming to Netflix soon? Will you be watching? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
All 22 episodes of Riverdale season 6 will begin streaming on Sunday, Aug. 7 on Netflix.
