New Chainsaw Man trailer 2 PV confirms Fall 2022 premiere, main cast for Japanese dub

A new trailer PV for one of the most anticipated anime of 2022, Chainsaw Man, was streamed during the MAPPA stage event at Crunchyroll Expo 2022, revealing that the anime is set to premiere in October 2022. 

Crunchyroll will simulcast the series worldwide (excluding Asia). It will also stream the anime in English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French and German dubs.

The anime was first announced back in December 2020, along with the manga sequel after the manga ended with its 97th chapter.

This trailer is the second PV released for Chainsaw Man, and it shows Denji and the gang in action. The trailer PV also revealed the main cast of the show. The main cast includes:

  • Kikunosuke Toya as Denji
  • Tomori Kusunoki (Misha Necron in The Misfit of Demon King Academy) as Makima
  • Shogo Sakata (Ranmaru Ai in Fairy Ranmaru: Anata no Kokoro Otasuke Shimasu) as Aki Hayakawa
  • Fairouz Ai (Jolyne Kujo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean) as Power

Chainsaw Man MAPPA main staff

Ryu Nakayama (Jujutsu Kaisen episode 19 director) is directing the anime at MAPPA. Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan) is in charge of the scripts. Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) is designing the characters. Tatsuya Yoshihara is directing the action. Kensuke ushio (Koe no Katachi) is composing the music.

Chainsaw Man Episode 1 world premiere in September 2022

The world premiere of the TV anime Chainsaw Man will be held on September 19, 2022, at the TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills. The event is scheduled to open at 19:00 (JST) and start at 19:30 (JST). Episode 1 of the anime will be screened at the event, and after the event, all the main cast members will take the stage.

More about Chainsaw Man

The Chainsaw Man anime is based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The first part of the manga was serialized from 2019 to 2021 in Weekly Shonen Jump. The second part began serialization on the Shonen Jump+ app and website in July 2022. In 2021, Chainsaw Man won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shonen category.

The plot of Chainsaw Man is set in a world infested with menacing demons known as Devils. The story follows Denji, a young teenage boy who hunts these devils with his chainsaw devil pet, Pochita.
